1. Godiva Festival 

Looking for events in Coventry this summer? Godiva Festival is one to get revved up about! 

This annual three-day music festival is held in War Memorial Park and has huge names taking to the stage year after year. 

For 2023, the headliners include The Enemy, Rudimental, Melanie C, and The Institutes, along with other stellar artists like Ella Eyre, Odyssey, and The Selecter performing. 

If you’re interested in attending this beloved event, tickets start at just £25 per day so grab yours before they sell out.

2. Adele By Candlelight 

No, this event isn’t what you think, it’s not the real Adele singing surrounded by candles unfortunately, but it’s as close as you’re going to get. 

This unique concert experience will feature Adele’s greatest hits performed by talented musicians under the gentle glow of candlelight.

Taking place at Coventry’s iconic concert hall Rialto Plaza in August, you can sing-along to soulful hits like “Rolling in the Deep” and “When We Were Young” in a relaxing and intimate atmosphere. 

It’s the ultimate tribute to Adele, and tickets are just £16.80 so make sure to get yours!

3. Lost In Music

The Belgrade Theatre will be transporting you back to the 70s with this disco themed theatre show, Lost In Music.

With massive hits from Donna Summer, Gloria Gaynor, Earth, Wind & Fire, Sister Sledge and Chic, along with a live band and an amazing cast, this show will have you singing your heart out, and showing off your best dance movies. 

If you want to celebrate the end of deadlines, there’s no better way than a feel good experience at the theatre.

4. MotoFest

The none-stop celebration of motoring madness, MotoFest, is returning to Coventry for another year, and we cannot wait! 

Taking place on the 3rd and 4th June, MotoFest will blend live music, theatre, street food, along with exhibitors, car and motorcycle clubs and very special guests. 

There will also be a Sprint Circuit, Official MotoFest Ride In and static classic car, modern modified and motorcycle displays.

This is sure to be a fun-filled weekend in the UK’s Motor City, and tickets are free so you don’t need to stretch your student loan far to go. 

Of course, if you do want to purchase some food and drink, you’ll need a bit of funds!

5. Dirty Dancing Brunch 

We’re SO excited about this Dirty Dancing themed bottomless brunch which is coming to Coventry. 

Think drag hosts, street food, a movie soundtrack, themed cocktails, party games, and big prizes – Nobody puts baby in the corner of Rialto Plaza! 

You’ll get an hour of unlimited drinks from 12-1pm on Saturday 29th July, but the food sadly isn’t included in the price, you do need to pay an extra for this. 

Ready to have the time of your life with your nearest and dearest? Tickets are currently on the final release so you need to be quick if you want to go!

6. War Memorial Park Food Festival

For all you foodies out there, War Memorial Park Food Festival is bound to be a highlight of summer 2023. 

There’s something on offer to suit everyone with a wide range of delicious food from across the region, as well as drink stands so you can toast to the good times. 

You can also sing and dance your way through the day with live music from local artists and bands.

We don’t know about you, but we can’t think of a better way to spend a summer’s day, with food, drinks and music, yes please!

If that wasn’t enough to convince you to go, this event on the 13th August is free…

7. Summer Vegan Festival 

The Summer Vegan Festival is a two-day food extravaganza taking place at Coventry’s creative quarter, FarGo Village.  

Across the weekend of the 10th and 11th June you can check out a wide variety of vegan traders offering mouth-watering food and drink, as well as sweet treats, clothing, homeware and tons more products. 

Whether you’re a vegan looking to try some delicious plant based food from Coventry’s finest producers, or a meat eater wanting to treat your taste-buds to something new, this is a foodie festival that will not disappoint. 

The artsy event space at FarGo Village is sure to get the good vibes flowing, with plenty of outdoor seating so you and your pals can relish in the sunshine!

8. Go Your Own Way 

Calling all Fleetwood Mac fans, this next event is not one you’ll want to shy away from.

Go Your Own Way at Belgrade Theatre is a tribute to the grammy-award winning band, with talented musicians playing hits from every decade of Fleetwood Mac from Dreams to Don’t Stop to Everywhere to Rhiannon and more. 

If singing and dancing the night away to the energetic and passionate lyrics of one of Rock N Roll’s greatest bands sounds like your kind of night, book your ticket! 

The show is taking place on the 7th July with tickets currently priced at £30.50.

9. ABBA Sensation 

Coventry is certainly a city which loves their live music, and an experience you don’t want to miss out on is the ABBA Sensation.

Showing on the 23rd September at Albany Theatre, this event is a performance by one of the greatest ABBA tribute acts in Europe and will feature costume changes and lighting effects to create an authentic show. 

You can sing your heart out to huge hits like Dancing Queen, Super Trooper, The Winner Takes It All, Mamma Mia and so many more!

Tickets are just £16 with a great evening of entertainment promised.

10. Oktoberfest 2023 

Oktoberfest 2023 isn’t until later on in the year, but it’s always good to be prepared and get the excitement flowing early!

The world famous Bavarian festival is coming to Rialto Plaza and will feature traditional German Foods, steins of beer, party games and sing-alongs, DJs and a live authentic Oompah Band. 

This longstanding event is one of the most important in Coventry’s annual calendar so be sure to get involved. 

We’re sure they’ll be plenty more exciting things announced for Oktoberfest in Coventry closer to the time.
