Living in Coventry

Coventry University provides a great student experience with the campus offering a beautiful mix of modern and classic buildings, filled with top facilities and entertainment. Did you know? A Times Higher Education survey ranked Coventry University top in the UK and third in Europe for how well it engages with its students!

The campus is located perfectly in Coventry City Centre, adjacent to the picturesque Coventry Cathedral and the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum. At the centrepiece of the campus is The Hub, offering a fabulous student support service, a bar/nightclub as well as a delicious food hall and outlet.

Studying has never been easier with their £20 million library which opened in 2000 on the outskirts of the campus. It contains a whopping 2,000 print periodicals, 350,000 monographs and more than 6,000 video tapes, audio tapes and film.

In terms of life off-campus, there are so many great shopping and tasty eating options at the Lower Precinct Shopping Centre, which contains around a quarter of the city’s retail stores, easily accessible via local transport links.

If you fancy learning some local history, why not visit the ruins of Coventry Cathedral, preserved as a memorial and sacred space for the city? Also worth exploring is Fargo Village, dotted with edgy cafes, vegan restaurants and vinyl stores. This creative quarter on Far Gosford Street has a fun mixture of mobile catering and small boutique style units for you to enjoy.

Your comfy student accommodation in Coventry is close to plenty of places where you can pre-drink before heading on to a club or a student night at the Students’ Union. Just a short distance away from your new home are popular student bars like the Quids Inn pub and The Phoenix, there are also three Wetherspoons in the city centre!
